The Aqcha wool carpet is produced in the northern part of Afghanistan, in the town of Aqcha, an area inhabited by nomads and villagers. Its best known motifs are the elephantfoot and Mauri/Bokhara. It gives a unique atmosphere to your home with its warm colours. This wool carpet is washed four times and sun dried after making and shearing, therefore it is extremely colourfast. Many people believe that the denser and thicker the oriental rug, the better and more durable it is. The durability is due to the knotting technique and the quality of the material.
