Round carpet

Persian carpets were an essential part of oriental culture, but today they are a popular decoration in homes and other properties in many parts of the world. Besides their sentimental value, they also represent a significant asset, which has made them status symbols. They are often found in lawyers' offices and upmarket restaurants.

Carpet placement in the home

Finding a place for a round rug may seem difficult at first glance, thanks to their unusual shape. However, don't despair, like their square counterparts, round shaped rugs can be used in countless applications. Let's start with perhaps the most obvious, the round dining table paired with the round rug... an eternal classic.

No matter the size of the living room, everything from the smallest to the largest can be enhanced by an oriental style round rug, not to mention harmonizing with the arched doorway.

We've written about the usefulness of rugs before (see: large rugs) and now we'd like to emphasise their practicality and comfort, so if you spend a lot of time in the kitchen it's worth getting a rug. A smaller sized rug that is easy to move and quick to clean can be ideal.

In the bedroom, there is a huge range of options for a round rug. It can be placed next to or in front of the bed, in symmetry or asymmetry, in combination with pleasant mood lighting, or as part of a reading corner.

A new level of balcony décor is added when a rug is placed, a hot drink on a balcony on a cooler day is also better enjoyed with a unique oriental style rug underfoot.

Carpet types

They can be machine or handmade, and the materials used are usually wool, cotton or acrylic. There are also several price options, with machine-woven carpets being more affordable and acrylic carpets, for example, available at a lower price. Our constantly updated discount carpets also include round carpets, so it's worth browsing through them too.

Keeping with the style of our Persian rugs, burgundy and beige colours often dominate, but more unusual colours can also be found. Beautiful geometric shapes are often found alongside floral motifs. Within the round carpet category, you can find for example mahi, medallion, jaldar, mauri and Iranian type wool carpets.
